Economics professor Koedel honoredReceives American Educational Research Association's Outstanding Dissertation Award![]() Cory Koedel, an assistant professor of economics, has been awarded the American Educational Research Association, Division L (Education Policy and Politics) Outstanding Dissertation of the Year. The national award was presented at the organization's annual conference on March 25, 2008, in New York City. His dissertation was completed at the University of California, San Diego in 2007 with support from a Spencer Foundation Dissertation Fellowship. According to the dissertation award committee chair, the dissertation "provides important new insights into the measurement teacher productivity using value-added modeling."
