Wild Cursive exhibition and panel discussionLampo Leong, professor of Art, will be part of a discussion about the aesthetics of Wild Cursive, a new work by Cloud Gate Dance Theatre. The panel includes Lin Hwai-min, Cloud Gate Dance Theatre choreographer and artistic director as well as calligraphy artist Leong. The discussion Wild Cursive and Contemporary Chinese Calligraphy will take place at the University of California, Berkeley on Wednesday, October 18, 2006. In addition, Cal Performances at the University of California, Berkeley will present Wild Cursive by artistic director Lin Hwai-min from Cloud Gate Theatre of Taiwan on October 20 and October 21, 2006.
